After a stroke, I have been mostly housebound for 12 weeks. My family live far away, and the days can feel very long. I'm not looking for therapy - I've that covered - but for conversation. I'm hoping for someone who can call for about 30 minutes once a week whenever suits us both. I like history, chess and quiz shows, and can listen to anything. This can be from anywhere in the world as long as you speak English. We can arrange the calls through the platform, with email shared only when we're both comfortable. Thanks for even thinking about it. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

I was going through a tough time and this person's support was invaluable. They didn't judge, just helped. That kind of genuine compassion is rare these days.

  • So sorry you're going through this, Trinh. Shared it with a few friends. Love from Surabaya

    • sending love. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Anaheim.

      • sending strength. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.

        • Praying for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless

          • Thanks for sharing this, Trinh. Shared this with my family.
