Seul-gi lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Gangnam Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,250.
Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Seul-gi could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $2,050
• First-year servicing plan: $120
• Delivery and set-up: $80
