I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Nakhon Ratchasima Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,950. My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks. With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,950 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $1,800 • Fitting and training sessions: $90 • Delivery and set-up: $30 • First-year servicing plan: $30 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
