I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at the Nagpur Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800. My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $800 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $670 • Fitting and training sessions: $50 • Delivery and set-up: $15 • First-year servicing plan: $65 Thanks for being kind about this.
