A stair-climbing aid for Neema: help Neema move freely
A stair-climbing aid would give Neema independence - we're $1,200 away.
🇰🇪 Likoni, Mombasa, Kenya703 views
Neema lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Likoni Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,200.
Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Neema could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $1,050
• Fitting and training sessions: $70
• Delivery and set-up: $35
• First-year servicing plan: $45
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Wishing you the best. Wishing Neema a smooth procedure and a full recovery. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless.
You're not alone, Eunice. Hope this works out for you. Take care.
Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best.
