Katherine lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Victoria Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $6,400.
Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Katherine could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
