Benin City
Ibrahim lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Benin City Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,050. His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Ibrahim could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,050 goes: • First-year servicing plan: $50 • Fitting and training sessions: $20 • stair-climbing aid: $980 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Juliet

  • Wishing you peace. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings

    • Stay strong. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care.

      • Keep going. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Benin City.
