Ali lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at Mansoura General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $550. His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment Ali could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
