A stair-climbing aid for Aadhya: help me move freely
Aadhya needs a stair-climbing aid that the health system won't fund; the cost is $800.

I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at the Nashik Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800.
My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $800 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $690
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $35
I hope life is good to you.

Wishing you peace. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Nashik
Take care, Aadhya. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Santa Fe this morning. All the best
Sending strength, Aadhya. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We're a small family in Gazipur but we're thinking of you!
Hope things get better soon, Aadhya. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
sending good thoughts. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Take care!
