David lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Sacramento Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,600.
His current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment David could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
