A solar-powered water pump for Union Primary School: help our neighbors in Lahore

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 383 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $250 goes: • Materials: $135 • Permits and inspections: $10 • Safety equipment and signage: $25 • Tools hire and delivery: $80 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
