For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Park, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $400. It will serve about 292 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $400 goes: • Materials: $240 • Permits and inspections: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $15 • Tools hire and delivery: $100 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Omolara

  2. Thank you all. We're at 35% now ($140). I'm honestly stunned. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.
