A solar-powered water pump for the Sycamore vacant lot: help our neighbors in Campinas
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $1,150 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,150.
It will serve about 112 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Materials: $780
• Permits and inspections: $70
• Safety equipment and signage: $165
• Tools hire and delivery: $135
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Wishing you peace. More neighborhoods should do this. Please keep us posted. Thinking of Campinas.
