A solar-powered water pump for the Sycamore community hall: help our neighbors in Miami
A community-led a solar-powered water pump at the Sycamore community hall that will serve 522 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $550.
It will serve about 522 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $550 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $210
• Safety equipment and signage: $200
• Tools hire and delivery: $140
If you're reading this, thank you.
