A solar-powered water pump for the old Liberty bus depot: help our neighbors in Quezon City

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $250 for materials.

Quezon City
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Liberty bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 338 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $250 goes: • Materials: $160 • Tools hire and delivery: $60 • Permits and inspections: $30 Thank you so much. - Gianna

  1. Thank you all. We're at 71% now ($178). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts.

  2. Update from Quezon City: the first invoice got paid this week. We're at 59% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
