A solar-powered water pump for the old Jacaranda bus depot: help our neighbors in Veracruz
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $700 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Jacaranda bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $700.
It will serve about 422 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $700 goes:
• Materials: $440
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $80
• Tools hire and delivery: $145

Thanks for sharing this, Josefa. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Veracruz
Shared this with my family. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best
Good luck, Josefa. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings.
