A solar-powered water pump for the old Baobab bus depot: help our neighbors in Jakarta Barat
Volunteers in Jakarta Barat are raising $100 for a solar-powered water pump at the old Baobab bus depot.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $100.
It will serve about 130 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $100 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $25
