A solar-powered water pump for the Liberty community hall: help our neighbors in Iloilo City

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $50, and the remaining cost is $150. It will serve about 318 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $150 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $55 • Permits and inspections: $50 • Tools hire and delivery: $45 If you're reading this, thank you. - Lourdes
