Volunteers in Manchester are raising $950 for a solar-powered water pump at the Liberty community hall.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $950.
It will serve about 506 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $950 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $330
• Permits and inspections: $220
• Safety equipment and signage: $400
