A solar-powered water pump for Pioneer Primary School: help our neighbors in George
A community-led a solar-powered water pump at Pioneer Primary School that will serve 120 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $210, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 120 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $650 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $90
• Materials: $450
• Tools hire and delivery: $110
Thank you so much.

Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of George.
Hope things get better soon, Carla. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. God bless.
Hope this works out for you. My neighbor in Fayetteville donated after I showed her your page. Blessings
Sending love, Carla. More neighborhoods should do this.
sending good thoughts. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care.
