A solar-powered water pump for Jacaranda Park: help our neighbors in Coyoacán
Volunteers in Coyoacán are raising $700 for a solar-powered water pump at Jacaranda Park.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $700.
It will serve about 162 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $700 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $85
• Materials: $575
