A solar-powered water pump: a volunteer-led effort in Kediri
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $150 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $150.
It will serve about 413 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $150 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $60
• Safety equipment and signage: $70
If you're reading this, thank you.

Good news. Because of your gifts ($82 in total) the plan for safety equipment and signage is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Any update on how things are going in Kediri?
Wishing you peace. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
Wishing you peace. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Kediri
