Buenos Aires
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Lotus bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $850. It will serve about 211 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $850 goes: • Materials: $620 • Permits and inspections: $70 • Safety equipment and signage: $75 • Tools hire and delivery: $85 Every share and every dollar helps.

Updates from Enrique

  1. Quick update: $189 raised so far (22%). we've started the first stage. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 22% funded and I made the first payment toward safety equipment and signage.

  3. Thank you all. We're at 10% now ($89). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts.
