Pune

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 466 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $250 goes: • Materials: $135 • Permits and inspections: $30 • Tools hire and delivery: $85 I hope life is good to you. - Aishwarya
