A skate park for Union Park: help our neighbors in Poitiers
Volunteers in Poitiers are raising $2,350 for a skate park at Union Park.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,350.
It will serve about 512 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Materials: $1,600
• Permits and inspections: $290
• Safety equipment and signage: $180
• Tools hire and delivery: $280

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Clément
Sure. The biggest one is materials, $1,600. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
