A skate park for the old Jacaranda bus depot: help our neighbors in Palmira
A community-led a skate park at the old Jacaranda bus depot that will serve 283 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Jacaranda bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $850.
It will serve about 283 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $850 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $135
• Materials: $690
• Safety equipment and signage: $25
