A skate park for the Maple health centre yard: help our neighbors in Sheffield
A community-led a skate park at the Maple health centre yard that will serve 482 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $1,150, and the remaining cost is $2,600.
It will serve about 482 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $390
• Tools hire and delivery: $180
• Materials: $2,030
