A skate park for the Freedom community hall: help our neighbors in Sacramento
A community-led a skate park at the Freedom community hall that will serve 264 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,650.
It will serve about 264 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Materials: $1,600
• Permits and inspections: $310
• Safety equipment and signage: $190
• Tools hire and delivery: $550
