For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Park, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,550. It will serve about 215 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,550 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $260 • Materials: $2,000 • Safety equipment and signage: $290 I hope life is good to you. - Deborah

Sending good thoughts, Deborah. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from Tlaquepaque.
