A skate park: a volunteer-led effort in Paris
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $2,700 for materials.
🇫🇷 FrancePosted Oct 1, 20261,540 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,700.
It will serve about 162 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,700 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $110
• Tools hire and delivery: $200
• Materials: $2,390
Every share and every dollar helps.

Updates from Romane
Wanted to say thank you properly. 8% funded and I made the first payment toward tools hire and delivery.
Update from Paris: the plan for materials is now scheduled. We're at 12% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
