A skate park: a volunteer-led effort in Monterrey
Volunteers in Monterrey are raising $1,050 for a skate park at the Unity health centre yard.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $1,050.
It will serve about 506 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $130
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Materials: $885
