A skate park: a volunteer-led effort in Jerusalem
A community-led a skate park at Harmony Park that will serve 159 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Park, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,050.
It will serve about 159 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Materials: $1,350
• Permits and inspections: $130
• Safety equipment and signage: $430
• Tools hire and delivery: $140
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Stay strong, Shira. Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Thủ Đức so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Jerusalem
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Shira.
Sure. The biggest one is materials, $1,350. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Appreciate you taking the time.
You're not alone, Shira. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
sending love, Shira. Shared it with a few friends. Take care.
Hope things get better soon, Shira. Hope you get there. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you!
