A skate park: a volunteer-led effort in Half-Way Tree
A community-led a skate park at Unity Primary School that will serve 83 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 83 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $300 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
• Permits and inspections: $85
• Safety equipment and signage: $115
