We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $400 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $400. It will serve about 161 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $400 goes: โ€ข Materials: $300 โ€ข Permits and inspections: $25 โ€ข Safety equipment and signage: $55 โ€ข Tools hire and delivery: $20 Thanks for reading all this. - Kamrul

    • who gets the funds, you or the suppliers?

      • Praying for you. Looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.

        • Rooting for you. Shared it with a few friends. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
