A skate park: a volunteer-led effort in Duluth
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a skate park - we need $4,050 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Freedom bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $4,050.
It will serve about 167 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $4,050 goes:
• Materials: $3,000
• Permits and inspections: $290
• Safety equipment and signage: $500
• Tools hire and delivery: $260
