Yewande served twelve years in the air force; $550 would cover a first month of rent and transport to job interviews.

I served twelve years in the air force and was discharged in 2024 with a back injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $550.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $550 goes:
• Housing deposit and first month: $300
• Training provider fees: $195
• Essential household items: $55
I hope life is good to you.

Wishing you the best. Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best
