A service dog for Walter, an engineering corps veteran in Los Angeles
Walter served fourteen years in the engineering corps; $3,950 would cover a first month of rent and transport to job interviews.

I served fourteen years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2025 with hearing damage and PTSD. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $3,950.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $3,950 goes:
• Housing deposit and first month: $2,400
• Training provider fees: $1,200
• Transport to appointments: $350
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
