A service dog for Uche, a marines veteran in Onitsha
Uche served fourteen years in the marines; $500 would cover a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.

I served fourteen years in the marines and was discharged in 2024 with post-traumatic stress. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $500.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $500 goes:
• Training provider fees: $320
• Essential household items: $80
• Housing deposit and first month: $100
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
