I served ten years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2023 with a traumatic brain injury. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place. I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $4,450. I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces. I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing. Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly. Where the $4,450 goes: • Transport to appointments: $350 • Training provider fees: $2,050 • Housing deposit and first month: $2,050 If you're reading this, thank you. - Saanvi

Updates from Saanvi

  1. 4% there. I made the first payment toward transport to appointments. Thank you.

  2. Update from Rochester: the plan for housing deposit and first month is now scheduled. We're at 8% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  3. Thank you all. We're at 8% now ($344). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward housing deposit and first month.

Sending good thoughts, Saanvi. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out
