Wollongong
I served six years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2025 with chronic tinnitus. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place. I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $3,100. I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces. I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing. Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly. Where the $3,100 goes: • Training provider fees: $1,200 • Housing deposit and first month: $1,100 • Transport to appointments: $350 • Essential household items: $450 Thank you for reading my story. - Nova

Hope it all works out. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Wollongong.

Take care. Hope this works out for you. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
