After fourteen years of service, Marc is raising funds for a first month of rent and transport to job interviews.

I served fourteen years in the army and was discharged in 2024 with a traumatic brain injury. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $3,200.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Training provider fees: $960
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,450
• Transport to appointments: $240
• Essential household items: $550
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Marc?
Thank you. If you're in Lyon I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Fair thing to want to know.
This could happen to any of us. I hope November is when things finally get easier.
What exactly is the $3,200 for?
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. training provider fees comes first ($960) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
Sending strength. Hope this works out for you. Greetings from Brasília.

Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Lyon.
Keep going, Marc. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Lyon.
Keep going, Marc. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. All the best.
You're not alone, Marc. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Toronto.
