A service dog for Lakshmi, an infantry veteran in Nagpur
Lakshmi served ten years in the infantry; $450 would cover a vocational welding course and tools.

I served ten years in the infantry and was discharged in 2022 with hearing damage and PTSD. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $450.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $450 goes:
• Housing deposit and first month: $270
• Essential household items: $100
• Transport to appointments: $80
Thanks for being kind about this.

Hope it all works out. I hope things turn around soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Utrecht
Hope things get better soon, Lakshmi. I hope things turn around soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
