A service dog for Bukola, a medical corps veteran in Lagos
Bukola served twelve years in the medical corps; $600 would cover a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.

I served twelve years in the medical corps and was discharged in 2024 with a back injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $600.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $600 goes:
• Training provider fees: $240
• Housing deposit and first month: $200
• Transport to appointments: $75
• Essential household items: $85
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
