I served four years in the air force and was discharged in 2025 with post-traumatic stress. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place. I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $4,000. I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces. I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing. I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden. Where the $4,000 goes: • Training provider fees: $1,200 • Housing deposit and first month: $1,850 • Transport to appointments: $440 • Essential household items: $510 With deep gratitude, Bruno

  1. Small update. $75 so far, we've started the first stage. - Bruno

  2. Quick update: $100 raised so far (3%). I met with the provider and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  • thinking of you, Bruno. Looking forward to the next update. Put this on a community board in Aberdeen this morning. Greetings from Aberdeen.

    • Sending love. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best

      • Hang in there, Bruno. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Dallas.
