A sensory garden for children with autism for Unity Park: help our neighbors in Manchester
Volunteers in Manchester are raising $2,450 for a sensory garden for children with autism at Unity Park.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,450.
It will serve about 356 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Materials: $1,650
• Permits and inspections: $190
• Safety equipment and signage: $175
• Tools hire and delivery: $435
