A sensory garden for children with autism for the Pioneer community hall: help our neighbors in Valencia
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a sensory garden for children with autism - we need $2,300 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,300.
It will serve about 367 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $310
• Materials: $1,900
• Permits and inspections: $90
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
