A sensory garden for children with autism for the old Sycamore bus depot: help our neighbors in Toulon
Volunteers in Toulon are raising $950 for a sensory garden for children with autism at the old Sycamore bus depot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $270, and the remaining cost is $950.
It will serve about 93 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $950 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $420
• Safety equipment and signage: $390
• Permits and inspections: $140
