A sensory garden for children with autism for the Jacaranda vacant lot: help our neighbors in Gujranwala
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a sensory garden for children with autism - we need $250 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $40, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 113 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Permits and inspections: $15
• Materials: $195
