Chiang Mai
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Park, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $850. It will serve about 317 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $850 goes: • Materials: $630 • Permits and inspections: $55 • Safety equipment and signage: $65 • Tools hire and delivery: $100 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Sombat
