For five years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Park, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $400. It will serve about 558 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $400 goes: • Materials: $240 • Permits and inspections: $30 • Safety equipment and signage: $45 • Tools hire and delivery: $85 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Rajiv

Thank you. If you're in Nagpur I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.

  • Praying for you, Rajiv. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.

    • Rooting for you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
